Sometimes it only takes one small moment to change everything you once perceived about some aspect of life.
For me, it was the moment my sister walked down the aisle. It was the moment her now husband tucked the stray hair dancing in the wind behind her ear, the way he was looking at her.
And all of the sudden it made such perfect sense.
And it made me feel a peace I have never known, it has...
I’ve outgrown you, boy. Plain and simple.
Like my favorite pair of shoes, once worn daily. Those which fit like a glove and gave me daily joy, I wore you everywhere. We jumped through puddles, frolicked in fields. I took them off to walk onthe beach, tucked you under my bed whenever I would slumber.
But now, you just give me blisters, and I’ve thrown them in the goodwill...
